Ancient Astrology for Modern Sacred Living

ACQUAFORTIS IS HILARY SPITERI

Born on the island of Malta where North Africa meets Europe and the Goddess rests, Hilaria Spiteri has been exposed to various cultural influences. An alchemist and animist at heart she has been a star gazer since childhood but at a certain point in her life astrology swept her off her feet when she least expected it. When then Hathor called, she reluctantly answered and discovered Hellenistic astrology. Acquafortis Astrology is this life long journey of that greater calling that burns in her heart, to render simple, straightforward and practical, ancient astrology for modern sacred daily living.

Hellenistic Astrology

Hellenistic astrology arises from Babylonian and Egyptian astrology. It made its first documented appearance at around 200BCE in city of Alexandria under the Ptolemaic rule. The first complete zodiac to be depicted was in Dendera in the Temple dedicated to Hathor. It was only a question of time that the astrology born in the Middle East would through the Roman empire spread also West to Europe. Hellenistic Astrology was lost when the Roman Empire and eventually the Byzantine Empire collapsed. However in 1993 Hellenistic Astrology was revived through Project Hindsight. This project was made up of a group of dedicated astrologers who started translating graeco-egyptian astrological texts, putting them into astrological practice and later teaching them to other astrologers. It is an honour and privilege to be part of this astrological lineage and offer this service.
