Mars in Scorpio: Penetrate, Extract and Expel

Mars enters the house of Scorpio, his night-time temple, on the 30th of October 2021 at 02:21 UTC.

I described a bit the Scorpio house energy in the last post, when I described the energy that comes to be as the Sun enters in Scorpio. However, let us summarise again here and bring in different aspects.

(If you haven’t read my previous post on Sun in Scorpio, I suggest you do before you continue. Link here )

We start with Mars.

Mars is hot and dry. Hot as in high in energy, action orientated. Dry as in it tends towards itself, a subjective energy.

Mars is the force in nature that defines its existence through the tension of separation, the electrostatic repulsion that permits the creation of different shapes and forms. We need separation or else we will never have different living beings, species, cells, molecules, or atoms. We need antagonism or else we might never arrive to the point of individualisation at least in this part of the Universe

Mars in ancient times was represented by the symbol of a knife, the Cosmic Scalpel because its energy, penetrates, cuts and splits, for good or bad.

Scorpio house is made up of the water element. Water is usually cold and guess what wet. Cold as in low in energy potential. Its tendency is to wait and see, not to act and then perhaps think. Wet as in tending to create connections with what surrounds it. Think about water, H20, the universal solvent of Earth.

This water energy is expressed inwards, or night like. That is, this energy is not slapping you in the face but more of an inner perception. And its action in time is sustained, fixed, slowly making more of the same.

So how come Mars has ownership on Scorpio house? That is, what does Mars find, in Scorpio energy that makes him so happy to call it his temple?

Anyone that has done a bit of chemistry knows that one way of separating something from another thing is by dissolving it in another medium. Extraction in chemistry is defined as a separation process. You won’t have tea or coffee if the substance you are after doesn’t get out of the tea leaves or coffee beans into your boiling water.

Mars in Scorpio finds its way of creating a tension and the act of individualisation through bonds. Be they human or chemical. Mars in the water element heats what is usually stable (low in energy potential) and tests how much stress those bonds can sustain before they break and create something new (your tea or coffee for example).

Scorpio energy gives Mars the possibility to cool itself a bit and the impulse of action be somewhat moderated, meditated upon. Being fixed in nature, Scorpio energy gives target orientated Mars a perpetual goal for action as time unfolds.

Mars energy in the human body rules all that biochemically is needed and required to eliminate toxins from the body. And you cannot eliminate if you do not break bonds and bonds can’t be broken without some kind of heat. Mars provides both, remember hot and dry, the cosmic scalpel.

The body zones that Scorpio rules are the lower intestines, colon, rectum, anus, bladder, sweat glands and nose. They are the part of the body dedicated of breaking away, expel out from the body all that is not needed anymore because if kept in the body these substances become toxins and kill the very body that has created it them in the first place. Mars if not harnessed can kill, that is why it is called the lesser malefic.

Scorpio rules also male and female outer genitals along with the cervix of the womb. They are all parts of the body that are linked with procreation of our species. And how do we usually create? By penetration and eventual expulsion. This applies to both the sperm and egg but also the foetus when it is ready to be born.

Mars in Scorpio brings contemplated, behind the scenes action plus quite a lot of stamina, and a memory that never forgets any kind of grievances perceived or real. Survival instincts are highly activated and also very successful.

The courage of Mars in Scorpio is knowing how to sit still in front of adversity, hone the skills needed to survive the storm and when the right time comes penetrate, extract and expel.

Good Luck.

Safe Journey!
