About Me

CURRICULUM
[Rich_Web_Timeline id="1"]
When I was told I had to I write something about me I felt perplexed because somewhere in me, the about me question was translated in the most profound question of all “Who am I?”.
And believe me when I say have no idea. So, I will start from what is obvious for an astrologer, my birth date.
I came into this world on the 30th of August 1972 as the Sun was mellowing to rest in the West and give some respite to the hot summer days of the island of Malta.
My mother had been strolling near the sea when all of a sudden, she went into labour and my father had to quickly rush my mother to hospital.
I was nearly born in the hospital’s corridor.
I will always fondly say that I listened to the sea lapping on the rocks, fell in love with it and decided that it was a good day to be born again.
And perhaps it is this raw physical connection with the Earth that has and keeps shaping my life.
I was fortunate to be born in the rural area of a town in contact with farmers. Walking bare footed on the soil, waking up early to go harvest fresh vegetables, watch animals be born and die and unlimited unpolluted starry skies at night was part of my growing up.
I was privileged to be born on an island full of history and different cultural influences.
Walking in and past by numerous Megalithic Temples, that are at least 1000 years older the Egyptian pyramids was the norm. So was passing by Phoenician, Greek, Roman, Arabs, Knights of Malta and British Empire structures.
I never lost that connection with the Earth although I risked losing it several times. This connection feels like an umbilical cord that tethers me to the Divine and makes me a convinced Animist at heart.
I felt a daughter of Earth and Starry Heaven.
I grew up to become a very curious being, always asking why, to the despair of my past and present teachers.
This curiosity took me to study and keep studying a varied number of matters. Connecting the dots from the various subjects I study is one of my passions in life.
I had no problem in studying various languages, whilst learning classical music, participating in competitive sports (at a time when women in sports was a rarity) and in the meantime studying science, institutional and folk medicine.
Officially I graduated as a Pharmacist from the University of Malta more than 20 years ago, then furthered my studies in Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology at the University of Sapienza in Rome, Italy.
During that period, I encountered homeopathy and studied it at various schools whilst also delving deeper in complimentary medical studies.
In the meantime, I started working as a pharmaceutical consultant for a homeopathic pharmaceutical company.
With hindsight, those 15 years were a fundamental period in my life, forging me into who I am now.
In that period, I wrestled and slowly came to terms with my homosexuality, I started studying esoteric material and then finally when I least expected it, I fell in love with astrology.
And then my life fell in a rabbit hole.
I started studying modern astrology with the Faculty of Astrology where I was later awarded a Certificate.
Then my health started quickly deteriorating and I left my corporate job.
I thought I would further my studies and become a professional astrologer but in those modern astrological studies there was something missing, at least for me… that visceral connection with the Earth.
In the period that followed there was no single aspect of my life that didn’t get turned upside down.
I had started having repeated dreams of me entering an ancient Egyptian like Temple and of a symbol made up of a circle with horns embracing it.
A series of events brought me to traditional astrology. And again, my astrological world was turned upside down. The language of the stars I had learnt needed to be unlearnt so as to learn a new one, a more ancient one.
My studies of traditional astrology eventually took me to Chris Brennan and his Hellenistic Astrology Course…and to that Temple I kept dreaming.
Whilst studying Hellenistic Astrology I discovered that the first western tropical zodiac was depicted in the Temple of Hathor at Dendera in Egypt.
It was one of those rare and magical moments in life when it seemed everything was making sense.
My animist heart and my alchemical mind finally meet in one place, at peace, at the feet of Hathor.
And this is story from where I come.
What will happen from now onwards I do not know. I am sure life will still surprise me in good and bad.
For sure studying and seeing clients as a professional astrologer is part of the plan.
With all this said I absolutely do not want to give the impression that I figured out my life, know exactly who I am and where my life is going. Not at all.
But I do know with more certainty than before that I am at the right place and at the right time doing what I think is right for me just now.
As for all the rest I still am that child of Earth and Starry Heavens.
As it is customary to do in ancient astrology, the student of astrology honours the teachers that have enabled her astrological journey.
I would like to say thank you to my past astrology teachers at the Faculty of Astrology , Helen Treemer (modern astrology) and Donna Woodwell (traditional shamanic astrology)
And my present teachers: Chris Brennan (Hellenistic Astrology), Austin Coppock (traditional and magical astrological tradition) and all the tutors at School of Traditional Astrology or so called STA (traditional horary William Lilly lineage and classical medical astrology)
Welcome to my adventure on planet Earth.
