On the 23 of July 2023, Venus in Leo stations to start her retrograde phase. She will station direct on the 4^th of September 2023. Venus will be promenading up and down in Leo’s house from 12 to 28 degrees. She first touched 12 degrees on the 20^th of June, 2023 and will finish again at 28 degrees Leo, where she stationed retrograde, on the 7^th of October, 2023.

The culminating point of Venus Retrograde is when Venus joins the heart of the Sun at 20 degrees Leo on the 14^th of August 2023.

Venus in Leo

Venus transiting through the temple of the Sun is not the best experience for Venus. Venus is a nighttime planet that loves quiet places that are cool, moistening, soft, relaxing, and penumbral. She likes to keep her desires secret.

When she is in Leo, the weather becomes very hot. Water or humidity is only a dream, and the Sun is permanently in the sky. Venus in Leo is forced to act under a spotlight, making her longings and moves in broad daylight for all to witness.

Venus in Leo has to abide by the Sun’s law, which is to consciously choose what her desires are and embrace her seducing personal power, publicly displaying it.

Although Venus is a benefic, she brings us experiences that we usually like and want; when Venus goes retrograde, moving backwards in the sky, Venus takes on a more spicey feel.

You may be asking in what way?

When a planet goes retrograde, the standard rules of the planet’s behaviour do not count. For Venus, this means that all niceties are thrown out of the window or shall we say, in the consuming fire of Leo. Venus does not always play fair; as they say, in love and war, all is permitted. A retrograde Venus is all up for experimenting and trying new experiences with little caution or modesty.

Leo is all about the unceasing expression of fire at its utmost. Leo rules the heart and the dorsal vertebrae.

Venus in Leo will dig deep into the recesses of our hearts. And as she approaches the engulfing flames of the Sun, she will toss with glamour in the fire all those desires acting counterproductively to what our soul truly wants.

In making us question and ache for what we truly desire, Venus in Leo straightens us up from the inside out with dignity.

 

Of Air and Fire

This current Venus cycle began way back on the 22^nd of October, 2022.

On that day, Venus, who was staying in her own house of Libra, met the Sun at 29 degrees in a superior conjunction. By superior conjunction, we mean that Venus met the Sun on the other side of the Sun, away from the Earth. Imagine a straight line connecting Venus, then the Sun and Earth. Venus was the farthest from us on Earth. Ancient astrologers talk about the superior conjunction as Venus conferring with the gods.

What was particularly important in that conjunction was that it was the first Venus-Sun conjunction in Libra we have experienced for the first time in 150 years. Venus has started a new conjunction point cycle, lasting till 2133, shifting from Scorpio, a sign ruled by Mars and terribly uncomfortable for Venus, to Libra, Venus’s daytime house. That is quite an energy shift feel and a move that sees Venus gaining strength, tools, and resources for her agenda.

Something back then has been seeded for the first time in 150 years, and its fruits are coming to fruition for the first time in the upcoming Venus retrograde cycle.

When retrograding, Venus comes nearer to us, bringing down to earth the information she has gleamed when conferring with the gods. Imagine a straight line. The inferior conjunction that always happens in a retrograde will be: Sun, then Venus and then Earth.

Venus’s last time she reversed in Leo was between July and September 2015.

What was happening in your life back then? Because now, we will revisit that story with a completely new paradigm, that of Air seeding Fire which are complementary elements. The energy between these two elements flows easily, and one element nurtures the other.

I couldn’t help but wonder and ponder how Venus’s new Libra cycle will contribute to further incarnate the Air Era we are living through. In December 2020, Saturn and Jupiter had their conjunction at 0 degrees of Aquarius ringing the ultimate bell for the complete elemental change from Earth to Air Triplicity age.

The following are some of my thoughts on such an elemental shift through Venus.

 

What is Mine to do?

During Venus’s galvanising experiments in Leo, she will be receiving encouragement from Mercury in Leo and rowdy incitement from Jupiter and brusque friction from Uranus both in Taurus, Venus’s own house.

It is worth remembering that when Venus entered Leo on the 5^th of June 2023, she immediately opposed Pluto at 0 degrees of Aquarius, reactivating the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction of 2020. And Venus was traveling very near Mars in Leo for all of June and part of July 2023.

This Venus in Leo retrograde has an extra punch and much more than meets the eye. Big movers and shakers are at play, and the invitation is to bring together all those elements inside ourselves that ignite creativity and dig deep down into the true motives of what sparks our joy for life.

In Gordon White’s Foundation Magic course, Gordon frequently repeats the concept of “What is Mine to do?” “What is the Universe trying to express and create through you?”. Reframing desire as the expression of the Divine trying to birth something new in this dimension has been and still is a profound reflection, at least for me.

Most of us come from a culture where desire is seen morally negatively. Desire is something to suppress and not to cultivate. Or else only specific desires are allowed and not others. But if one looks at how we as individuals and as a collective work, desire is the glue, the fundamental driving force that moves creation. And that is what Venus is all about.

Venus in Leo Retrograde offers each one of us the opportunity to explore the desire we feel in ourselves. With Pluto, the journey will be the literal descent into the Underworld, evocating with extra oomph the myth of Venus going into the underworld.

Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus will have the upper hand tipping the balance towards their agenda. They are both in Venus’ house of Taurus, so Venus is obliged to comply with what they are urging her to explore.

Venus’s experiment triggers a part of our lives that we prefer to remain as they are. Habits in this area are hugely entrenched, and changing them requires soul-searching work.

The journey will feel uncomfortable, to say the least, because we will be thrown into areas we usually do not even look at for peace’s sake in ourselves and with others. And yet they hold the key to our own journey in this life.

 

The Breath of Life

For the ancients, the heart was the seat of intellect, not the mind. The heart was where the soul resided, where the essence of the individual ensconced itself for this incarnation. It is interesting to note that the more we have placed the mind as the individual ruler of our lives, the more we have departed from our true nature, our desires which only the heart knows.

For ages, the breath of life has bookmarked our existence.

A being was defined as alive when a creature newly born took its first breath. Death has been determined as the moment when the breath of life leaves the body. In the second half of the last century, this has changed. Death is now defined by the absence of electromagnetic waves in the brain, creating an artificial definition of death used lucratively for various medical procedures that, in my opinion, are highly debatable, but that is another story.

And yet the heart has an electromagnetic field much bigger than the brain. The heart sends more information to the brain, not vice versa. The brain only interprets what the heart signals. In other words, we colour the experiences we live.

The HeartMath Institute has much research showing how building coherence through the heart diminishes stress levels. When we are in a space of heart and mind coherence, we flow through life effortlessly, even if “bad” things happen. Magically life starts clicking into place.

Venus is the energy that brings together different isolated things, events, and people to create something new. Venus attracts what it needs for her desires to be fulfilled. And this is not something that is switched on and off.  It is a magnetic field always there, continuously transmitting, always attracting. Not being in coherence will bring more things into existence that are not coherent with our true nature, heart desires, and soul desires.

Venus in Leo Retrograde offers the opportunity to experiment with desire, to feel its burn and consciously become a co-creator with the Cosmos.

Scorpio, what is yours to do in the career and reputation sector of your life? Do you still vibe with your professional activities?

 

 

If desire moves the world, then for you, Sagittarius, it motivates your desire to know the world and all the philosophies that emanate from it. Where is your heart beating?

 

 

Time to evaluate your give and take with others, Capricorn. Are the scales in a fair position? If not, how can you make it so?

 

 

Relating to others, Aquarius is always tricky. How about looking at each person you interact with as a unique gift of the Cosmos to you?

On May 16th, 2023, at 17:20 UTC, Jupiter embarked on a momentous and weighty journey. Departing from the house of Aries, the day-time temple of Mars, Jupiter enters the night-time temple of Venus, Taurus. The impact of this transition will be felt in various ways, both individually and collectively.

To truly understand the magnitude of this shift, let's begin by exploring the essence of Jupiter and proceed from there.

 

Who is Jupiter?

Jupiter goes by quite some bombastic names starting from the Greater Benefic, Friend of the Sun, and The Most Radiant One.

Jupiter’s nature is temperately warm and moist. The perfect equilibrium of heat and moisture to favour growth – a well-known characteristic of Jupiter. Whatever Jupiter touches increases and multiplies.

The heat provides kinetic energy and the power to move, and Jupiter is liberating and dynamic in his action. Heat provides Jupiter with buoyancy and lightness of being, taking adversity with philosophy and hope.

Heat and moisture make Jupiter gregarious and sanguine. The motion of the energy is diurnal; that is, the heat and humidity radiate towards the outer world. Jupiter needs and invites connection with all that surrounds him and, in so doing, creates a story by which to live and inspire his life.

The energy of Jupiter represents the hand through which the rule of the Sun becomes enacted on Earth. Jupiter is responsible for dominating Chaos and creating Order. And this is done not out of violence or restriction but out of trust and faith. Order is established through a divine link to the Sun, whether spiritual or religious.

Due to all of the above, Jupiter's behaviour is ethical, moral, fair, just, philanthropic, and charitable. I've written about Jupiter in Sagittarius, Capricorn, Pisces, and Aries. It's worth reading because you'll see that the essence of Jupiter remains the same, but he adapts to his environment and the tools it has at his disposal.

 

Who is Taurus?

The short version of Taurus is the following.

Taurus energy is made up of the element Earth, the energy moves at a fixed pace, and it is nocturnal in its expression. It is the night temple of Venus and the place where the Moon feels treated with extreme reverence.

The earth element is the densest of the four elements used to describe Creation. Its natural movement is towards the bottom, creating sedimentation and stability.

The energy in the Earth element slows down, becoming cold, which means it does not react and is passive. Both characteristics create more stability and make Earth conservative and cautious.

Being all of the above, Earth becomes the container to enable and hold life. The most solid of all the elements, Earth makes our physical five senses possible.

Earth is dry; without water, it disintegrates into sand. Earth can observe with detachment without emotional (water) involvement.

Earth in Taurus moves through space and time at a fixed pace multiplying and intensifying what already is available.

Earth in Taurus is nocturnal energy like the night, introspective, reflective, and feminine.

Venus, the landlady of Taurus, is the energy that creates new things by bringing together in harmony separate identities. She is mostly temperately cold and moist but can change according to circumstances. Its primary mode of action is nocturnal, inward going.

Getting to know Jupiter in Taurus

What immediately jumps into consideration is that we have the Greater Benefic, Jupiter, in the house of the Lesser Benefic, Venus. In traditional astrology, benefic planets signify things and events we humans usually like. So, do we have a double dose of goodies? It could be, but let us explore Jupiter in Taurus together.

We said that Jupiter is temperately warm and moist. Taurus energy is cold going to warm and dry going to wet. This makes the fertile power of Jupiter even more abundant. What Jupiter touches in Taurus sprouts with lushness all over the place.

Jupiter is a fire planet that loves movement and expansion and holds dear his freedom and the possibility to move about in every imaginable way. Taurus is not only fixed in action, allowing only one direction, but also the Earth’s density, adds weight and pulls down a planet that is usually buoyant, like a hot air balloon.

This will curtail Jupiter’s capacity to move around and soar up. The nocturnal energy of Taurus further augments this. The power is not only slowed down, fastened in one direction at a constant pace, but its movement is turned to the world inside, not outside, into contemplation more than action.

Nonetheless, Jupiter in Taurus brings abundance to the material, physical and sensual world. However, the trap to Jupiter is that having its wings curtailed and landbound, he forgets that there is a whole invisible, spiritual world beyond what his senses can see, hear, touch, taste, and smell.

 

Where can we find Jupiter in Taurus?

If we take Jupiter as the high priest, Jupiter in Taurus is all the figures embodying the sacred nature of Mother Earth. Jupiter in Taurus brings a reconnection with animistic spirituality. All of Creation is sacred. And the fact of living in a body is a holy act in itself.

Jupiter in Taurus is the philosopher of nature that sees and communions with the Divine in every facet of Creation. Jupiter in Taurus is the earth healer that cures with what Mother Nature has abundantly provided. Or the accademia in the pasture fields, amongst the cows and bulls.

Jupiter in Taurus is the indigenous tribe that keeps alive the Earth’s sacred traditions passed on through generations via oral tradition.

Jupiter in Taurus is also the hedonist preaching that there is only one life, and not living it to the utmost satisfaction is a sin.

We shall see an increase in anything linked to agriculture and the earth as a cornucopia of minerals and gems. Geological studies will have a boost.

Taurus being a Venus ruled signed, will see a rise in all that is luxury, cosmetics, beauty products, spas, massage therapists, all therapy that involves getting to know one’s body intimately, florists and annexed flower market. Probably an upsurge in the value of agricultural lands and farms, plus a general increase in property value.

Jupiter is associated with alliances. Jupiter in Taurus will patronage all those who bless and steward the land. We will see the coming together of associations and organizations that protect the rights of animals and lands.

 

Jupiter in Taurus at an individual level

In general, Jupiter in Taurus will bring stamina to build on what Jupiter in Aries has made possible. Remember that Jupiter offers opportunity. Releases from bonds. However, it is up to us to take the chance and run with it.

Jupiter works through soul cohesion. That is, Jupiter reminds us of what our soul wants through this life. And what better way to do it when Jupiter is in the bestial sign that evokes the very essence of animal attraction and sensuality?

Jupiter in Taurus brings dynamism to a sign (and a part of our life) which usually is not known for its exuberance and velocity in changing one’s mind.

Jupiter, while in Taurus, invites us to bring the holy back again into our existence. We live in a society that has lost the meaning of ceremony. All is now in small packets for quick and easy consumption. There is no more the intent to take time to find the right ingredients, words, or materials to enhance the world around us. We have become accustomed to living in squalor and bruteness.  We made it a habit to use fewer words to describe the world around us.  We have lost the ability to create beauty through place, art, music, dance, and song.

Jupiter in Taurus will remind us that the hallowed is not up there but in the very breath we take. But first, we must pass through the ambush of pure materialism that spurs the continual momentum of amassing things for security’s sake.

 

Jupiter in Taurus in Medical Astrology

Jupiter co-rules the liver, blood, and fat. Jupiter’s function in the body is to provide all that is needed for growth, be it in height or width of the body or the single organs or cells.

Jupiter in Taurus will increase the possibility of growth in the Taurus area of the body, which is roughly the jaws, especially the lower one, mouth and neck area.

With Jupiter in Taurus, there can be a case of too much of a good thing. We may see an increase in liver malfunctioning due to excess fat accumulation and growth of tumours in the Taurus area. We can also see an increase in fertility.

At the time of writing and further coincidences

It's worth noting that Jupiter will go retrograde on the 4th of September 2023, at 15 Taurus, and station to go direct on the 31st of December 2023, at 05 Taurus.

It is interesting to note that this is the same stretch of the Zodiac that Mercury has just finished exploring between the 21st of April 2023 to the 15th of May 20203. 15 degrees Taurus is the exact spot Uranus stopped its retrograde in January 2023, and 16 Taurus is the degree of a Nord Node Lunar Eclipse we had on the 8th of November 2022. And 5 Taurus is the last North Node Taurus Lunar Eclipse we will have on the 28th of October 2023 until the next one in November 2040.

This is quite a list of coincidences weaving a story worthy of Jupiter’s grand plans, but this is not all.

At the time of writing in May 2023, Jupiter sees his ingress in Taurus while the North Node and Uranus are still there. Also, as soon as Jupiter enters Taurus, it will make an irritative argument with Pluto in Aquarius, whilst Mars in Leo will inflict its steady fire from a superior position.

This will noticeably colour and twist Jupiter in Taurus action. It becomes less bucolic, more strident, revolutionary, and catalytic both at an individual and at a collective level.

The North Node’s action is to bring in energy in this dimension (for more information about the Lunar Nodes, click here). This will further intensify Jupiter’s capacity to grow anything it touches but also adds that time-space distortion so typical of the Lunar Nodes. Jupiter in Taurus becomes not only a meeting with opportunity but also with fate.

Uranus is the Lord of Chaos, so we will see more turmoil, change and abruptness in all that Taurus rules and signifies. This is like giving the Earth Goddess steroids (Jupiter) while putting her finger in an electrical source (Uranus)

Pluto in Aquarius will add the noir feeling of something shape-shifting and morphing in the shadows of the trees and under the stones whilst the philosopher in the pasture fields witnesses the Earth Goddess spawning mutants with incredible power.

Mars in Leo will flavour all with further drama inspired by the hero’s journey with heart-centeredness.

Venus, the Landlady of the house of Taurus, is in Cancer. She is not talking directly to Jupiter, but she is witnessing and acknowledging his entrance and showering his seeds with nurturing water.

The energies involved are pretty contradictory, making less of a smooth munching of grass while manna is floating in the air and more of an epic journey of death and rebirth through the bowels of Mother Earth.

Jupiter in Taurus invites us all to incarnate the sacred beauty of life with whatever and however Life presents itself to us.

On the 20^th of April 2023, we have the first Solar North Node Eclipse at 29 degrees 50 of Aries. This Hybrid Eclipse kicks off the season of Aries-Libra Axis eclipses.

Although the Lunar Nodes are still in the Taurus-Scorpio axis, the Dark Moon in Aries is very near the Lunar Nodes to completely cover the Sun and thus give an eclipsed, darkened Sun.

The North Node will enter Aries, and South Node will enter Libra on the 18^th of July 2023 and will stay there till the 11^th of January 2025.

Although we are starting the Aries-Libra axis eclipses, we are still working on the Taurus-Scorpio axis ones. In fact, at the time of writing (April 2023), we still have a year of alternating eclipses between the Aries-Libra and Taurus-Scorpio.

In this blog post, I will focus on the general themes of the eclipses in the Aries-Libra axis.

 

An Intriguing Reflection

 

It is interesting to note that although we are shifting the zodiac sign on the axis, we are not changing who rules the opposite ends.

In Taurus-Scorpio, we have Venus ruling the Taurus side and Mars ruling the Scorpio side. In Aries-Libra, we have Mars ruling Aries and Venus rules Libra. The dance is still between Mars and Venus, but how and where will change.

Daytime Temple

 

Both Aries and Libra are the daytime temples of Mars and Venus, respectively.

What do we mean by a daytime house?

Daytime in astrology is related to an energy that is reactive, ready to move out in the world, assert itself, yang, masculine, individualistic, and expressive.

 

Cardinal Energy

 

Both Aries and Libra are cardinal energy.

What do we mean by cardinal?

Cardinal or moveable energy in astrology describes how energy evolves in space and time. Cardinal is impetuous, starts things, and brings about events and crises in rapid time—a zero to hundred km/h in twenty seconds type of situation. Cardinal energy is like a pivot or hinge; applying a small force obtains a bigger shift, similar to a torque.

 

Fire and Air Element

 

Elements in astrology describe how the energy manifests itself as a form. Fire and Air are the active pair of the four elements in the Western tradition and establish the elements of life, together forming what animates matter.

 

Aries is a Fire element.

Fire is hot, dry and moves upwards. The molecules move extremely fast, giving high kinetic energy and an innate restlessness, breaking and forming bonds in rapid succession. Fire is reactive and burns through things. Fire in the hermetic tradition is the element nearest to the Source Energy. We could envision Fire as the photon.

 

Libra is Air Element.

Air is the second lightest element, with a tendency to go upwards. How much Air rises or falls depends on how much heat is applied to Air. Air tends to be warm and moist, but much depends on the environment’s temperature and the quantity of moisture air molecules carry on them.  In the hermetic tradition, Air would be the particle state and the bridge for Fire to descend into Water and Earth.

 

Aries is ruled by Mars, and Libra by Venus

 

Mars is the energy of the Universe that divides to create. Hot and dry, with much energy and no moisture, Mars is the go-get-it energy with no empathy. Mars divides to conquer through the destruction of the whole. It is the initiating force of individualisation, ruling repulsion, friction, cutting and abrasion. Under Mars’s domain come danger, violence, murder, rape, chase, combat, bloodshed, and war.

Venus is the energy of the Universe that brings together things to create something new. Venus is temperately warm and moist but can vary according to her phase. Venus brings relaxation, comfort, beauty, harmony, affection, love and lust. Desire is ruled by Venus, and it is the magnetic force that, from afar, brings to her what she needs.

Mars though Aries, is a double dose of fire and dryness. Aries is the gas pedal flat, the 100m sprinter, the propulsion rocket. There is so much eagerness to act that thinking about consequences is a lost art never to be found in Aries.

With no water content, there is no connection on an emotional level with the surroundings making actions quick, direct and with no consideration whatsoever. Double fire brings confidence at best, arrogance, cockiness and violence at worse.

Venus, in Libra, finds warm air that stimulates further the sociability factor intrinsic in Venus.  Libra helps Venus bring affiliation through ideas that foster diplomacy, cooperation and tolerance. The magnetic force of Venus is rendered more intellectually persuasive, giving rise to ideals of balance and fair justice.

In Libra, Venus takes on more of the aesthetically weighed value of life. Venus through Libra is like the concept of the Goddess Ma’at in ancient Egypt; her symbol was an ostrich feather and represented being in the right relationship with oneself and the world that surrounds us.

 

Eclipses Effect on World Affairs

 

Keep always in mind that Eclipses are disruptions from the average daily transmission. During an eclipse, the Earth’s electromagnetic field is completely reset, resetting all that lives on Earth, including us.

The cardinal effect makes Aries-Libra eclipses quick in bringing the hammer down and, as quickly, releasing the pressure. Like a blast of wind, a punch in the face or an explosion, the events escalate very rapidly just as much as they deescalate. Dealing with the after-effects is an entirely different story.

The daytime energy of the Aries-Libra eclipses will bring events that are reactive in nature out in the world for all to witness, straight in one’s face. In no way will the events pass unnoticed.

 

Aries-linked events:

Any event that involves rapid ignition of fire, daring courage, swift actions and chemical mixing. Aries is a bestial sign represented by the Ram, so besides the sheep family, animals, in general, and their products will be implicated, specifically wild ferial ones or ones that break free from captivity.

Professions involved would be all that work in the military, including police officers. All that work in slaughtering animals or humans. Occupations or industries using or working iron like mechanics and welders. Those who use cutting instruments, like surgeons, butchers, and barbers. All that revolves around war.

Professions involving using irritative substances or forming materials through heat like chemists, chemical industry, chefs, and firefighters.

All professions that use muscle power, like professional athletes, especially boxing, weightlifting and the sports industry in general.

 

Libra-linked events:

Any events that involve communication, logic and mental prowess but veer towards the aesthetics of it all. Libra is a humane sign represented by a lady holding the scales. All that involves the balanced, fair interaction of ideas with others and society at large come into play.

Venus rules the arts in all forms, so anything linked with the creation and representation of art in society, including those who create and partake of such art. All professions, in one way or another, whose aim is to beautify, decorate, and harmonise the world around us.

Being an air sign, words will be intimately part of the art. For example, singers, public speakers or philosophical debates conducted with grace and, last but not least, poets. We might see again the flourishing of tea parties attended by artists, philosophers and thinkers for the sake of exchanging ideas to promote beauty.

Venus rules fabrics, so anything with the textile industries, especially those with an implicit statement. For example, the act of privileging certain kinds of materials for the fair opportunities they create in society.

All that revolves around the law, how it is conceived, formulated and applied and all related professions, such as lawyers and judges.

 

Eclipses Effect on Medical Astrology

 

Aries:

Aries generally governs the head, especially the top part and the cerebrum, the portion of the brain that concerns the interpretation of sensory impulses and voluntary muscular activity. Cerebrum is also considered the seat of consciousness.

For those inclined, eclipses can lead to disruptions to the head and can bring excess or deficiency in all head functions.

Excess energy to the head can increase pressure in the area that can give migraines, strokes, high blood pressure, brain diseases, epilepsy, lack of attention and uncontrolled temper. Excess energy can bring about hyper-transmission in the head nerve tissues, causing hallucinations and mania.

Excess can also lead to the rupture of blood vessels in the head area, like an aneurism and could also include the optic nerve giving rise to glaucoma. Or uncontrolled growth giving rise to brain tumours.

A decrease in energy can cause slow reactions, blackouts, loss of consciousness and poor eyesight.

 

Libra:

Libra governs the lumbar area, especially the kidneys. Libra also governs all those homeostatic processes in the body that require perfect tuning and balance for biochemical processes to proceed optimally. These include acid-alkaline equilibrium and the micro-dosing release of hormones.

Excess energy in this area causes unwarranted growth in the kidney tissues obstructing normal kidney functions. Kidney stones. Erratic metabolism of urate, which can give rise to gout.

A deficiency of energy can slow kidney filtration resulting in toxic products accumulating in the body. Low hormonal levels. In general, this situation gives a low stamina level.

 

Summary

The theme of attraction versus repulsion keeps unfolding more dramatically. What the Taurus-Scorpio axis has fermented in the shadows, the Aries-Libra axis throws it in front of us with much plethora.

From 2023 to 2025, the energy will come in through the North Node in Aries and leave through the South Node in Libra. Aries is getting the pressure to act in the world whilst Libra is being asked to usher out of this physical kingdom outmoded patterns.

Sometimes, cords must be cut, alliances are broken, and blood is spilt so fair justice can be attained.

Coming into the right relationship with the world is never easy and requires constant adjustment between repulsion and attraction, harmony and chaos, acidic and alkaline, corrosive and soothing.

When all is done and the dust has settled, a white ostrich feather will hover lightly on the tip of a blooded sword while our heart is weighed for its purity.

On the 11^th of April 2023 at 06:47 UTC+2, Venus, with much displeasure, leaves her sweet hobbit adobe (Taurus) in the hands of Uranus, Mercury, and the eclipses to enter the temple of Mercury, the day house of Gemini. Now we have Mercury in the household of Venus, Taurus and Venus under the roof of Mercury, Gemini.

These are adjacent land plots and have very different layouts and lodge rules. Usually, they have nothing in common and are blind to each other’s needs. However, the fact that the owners have swapped lodgings makes the situation very intricate.

Imagine a secret tunnel or underground cable through which Mercury and Venus can communicate quickly and with complete discretion. This will help Venus in Gemini, a place that she usually does not like or is pleased to stay. The location is too hyperactive for her tastes.  The reverse is also true for Mercury in Taurus but for diametrically opposite reasons.

On the same day at 12:14 UTC +2, Venus in Gemini dialogues with Pluto in Aquarius. If Venus in Gemini is usually up straight with little preamble, her negotiations with Pluto make her more aware of her words, gestures and connections and the power they can wield.

Venus will stay in Gemini until the 7^th of May, 2023. Until then, expect relationships of all kinds to be all over the place. Serendipity can become more accentuated, but keeping pace with it can make us all too excitable and jumpy with little tact for kind mediation and a flair for manipulation.

On the 12^th of April 2023 at 00:07 UTC +2, the acclaimed Sun in Aries initiates in the Martian fire rites, Jupiter in Aries. This is ground zero for Jupiter. A new adventure begins made of faith in one’s sovereignty.

They can take you anything and everything but not your own free will or inner freedom that keeps you individually whole, even if you are in chains.

In the meantime, Mars in Cancer, ruler of the Aries temple where the initiation is taking place, beams his rays on the ceremony and whispers, “For the protection of whom you love, for the honouring of your ancestors and of the sea and land that gave you birth.”

On the 14^th of April 2023, we first have Venus in Gemini bickering with Saturn in Pisces at 18:38 UTC+2. Imagine the Fisherman of Neverland listening patiently to Venus’s agitated drama. Sometimes he might feel he will lose his patience, but Saturn is like a father who waits for the child’s tantrum to finish to impart his advice.

You may not like what you need to do; however, that guidance comes from someone who has more experience than you do. You will be better off cooling your mind and listening to your intuition.

On the 3^rd of April 2023, Mercury, the Lord of all kinds of communications, enters the house of Taurus, the night-time temple of Venus.  Mercury in Taurus can become exasperated. Mercury used to move around quickly with little ado, finds itself in an environment where slow is better. This can cause frustration but also communication based more on pleasantness than logic.

With Mercury’s ingress, the Taurus house becomes more crowded with players that usually have little in common. These are Venus, the landlady, the North Node of the Moon provider of surplus energy galore and Uranus, Lord of chaos. All in a house whose rules do not like arguments and changes and aim for peaceful enjoyment of life.

And to spice it all up, Mercury, on the same day, quarrels with Pluto in Aquarius. This can quickly become an Agata Christie murder scene by poison.

Mercury in Taurus, on the 5^th of April 2023, not content with pouring caustic acid into the delicious food, ruminates with Saturn in Pisces. The only problem is that Saturn’s advice can land Mercury in further trouble. Not everyone and everything is meant to be.

On the 6^th of April 2023, we have two events happening nearly simultaneously.

We start with a Full Moon in Libra, calling Venus in Taurus as mistress of ceremony. Venus tries to balance out an energy that has both dynamite's ignitability and a mother bear's dormant fury.

Soon after, Mercury in Taurus gets caught up in the mania of the North Node in Taurus. It is a day to slowly chew food to enjoy it, not to gobble it. The mind can become overloaded with sensory information, haphazardly rushing to conclusions. If so happens, slow down to doing one thing at a time with a considerable dose of mindfulness.

On the 7^th of April 2023, Venus in Taurus gets some solace with Neptune in Pisces. After all the excitement, feel free to stop, smell the roses and dream of a world where everyone dreams of peace.

On the 8^th of April 2023, Mercury in Taurus cogitates with Mars in Cancer whilst sipping tea and eating delicious cake. This can be a prescription for mischievousness because past grievances spurting innocently from emotionally loaded words can easily throw us into a tantrum. This week the light of the Moon keeps increasing, unfolding the Spring Equinox and Aries Dark Moon we had last week.

To give more prerogative, Mercury meets Jupiter in Aries on the 28^th of March 2023.

Mercury is still under the beams of the Sun, so what Jupiter gives to Mercury we will only know in the upcoming week. However, if it helps, you can imagine this energy as the power of self-sovereignty made words. This is when we give our intentions for the Dark Moon the mastery over thought forms with the ardent flame of faith.

On the 30^th of March 2023, Mars, now in Cancer, asks Saturn in Pisces for spiritual guidance. The problem is that Saturn’s counselling might need Mars to go against his nature and, with much effort, turn the table in his favour. Sometimes it is better to wait, assess the pros and cons of a situation and see how the cons, with much sweat, can turn them into assets.

On the 31^st of March 2023, Venus meets Uranus in her own night house of Taurus. There are more peaceful encounters than this. Venus has been trying (since May 2018) to smooth out Uranus’s urge to throw stuff left, right and centre in her sweet, peaceful, luxurious adobe but not with much success. Wherever Taurus is in your natal chart, this week sees a new upsurge in chaos. Still, at least you will know how to gracefully and graciously pour honey into an otherwise electrifying medicine. Apply liberally.

The weekend is more dedicated to exploring softly and without much rush what Venus and Uranus unearthed.

To use this energy, you need to lean in and flow with it. Make space for emotions to come out in a safe environment, particularly in nature. Destiny, when it calls, does not usually blow the trumpet, but this week it does.

With much pathos, the resurgence of life bursts into our daily lives like a fire that burns as it flows in our blood, bringing heat to otherwise dormant parts of our existence. The change in pressure can be so sharp that it will leave us dazed for a couple of days. Please take extra caution for those usually prone to headaches, hypertension and haemorrhage.

The combination of the Spring Equinox and a Dark Moon, also at 0 Aries, feels like a herd of bolting rams kept inside for much too long. And yet, beneath this unbridled impatient zest for living, something is burning with a fixed cryogenic flame. It is only a short glimpse of years to come but sufficient to grasp our attention, even if it is through a nagging feeling behind a vitreous cogitation.

Eight long months riddled with words turned into daggers, and inflamed sensory receptors crushed threadbare with too much stimulation finally come to an end.

For the next two months, we are left to deal with the waters of emotions that start heating up from the inside out, leaving us staggered with how much pent-up ardency we are trying to keep under control. For those inclined, ulcers, gastritis, swollen lymph nodes, and bursting boils can become an issue.
